This is a pattern for a chunky lace knit button cowl. It can be made longer to be a scarf, which requires two skeins instead of 1 and 1/2. It is stretchy and breathable, yet warm. The gauge is approximate; lace stitches make it hard to be precise, and precise is not very important for this knit!

2 skeins of chunky yarn (I used Lion Brand Thick and Quick Wool Ease)
