Chunky Mouliné cardigan
Is your wardrobe missing the perfect basic cardigan? In that case, look no further. The Chunky Mouliné cardigan has an exciting construction, as well as a good fit. In addition, it is fun to knit! The cherry on top is the rib button bands that are knitted to the cardigan at the same time as the front bands are worked.

Gauge
18 sts x approx. 24 rows with both yarns held together = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches St st on 5 mm US8 needles.
Note: The whole garment is worked with both strands of yarn held together.
Selecting a size
Chunky Mouliné cardigan has an intended positive ease of 15-25 cm 5½-9½ inches, depending on which fit you. The green cardigan pictured has a positive ease of 20 cm 8 inches. The blue cardigan pictured at www.leknit.com has a positive ease of 30 cm 12 inches. The length is measured at the centre back, not including the neckband.
Construction note
You begin at the top of the back section, then work the top of the front section. You then pick up sts for the top of the sleeves. From this point, the sleeves, back and front are worked together until the under arm. Body and sleeves are the worked separately. At last, you pick up sts for the button band along the front and v-neck. The button band is knitted to the cardigan at the same time as the button band is worked.
