This chunky style winter headband is fast and super simple to make. It is an adaptation of my butterfly ripple choker necklace but here the stitch pattern is done with medium weight acrylic yarn and a large crochet hook.

The fabric is very stretchy, so if you follow the pattern as written it should fit head sizes 19 – 22 inches; however since the headband is worked side to side, the length is easily customizable.

Yarn used: 1 skein (7 oz./315yds) #4 medium Red Heart Super saver acrylic in color of your choice

Gauge: 4 dc rows = 4 inches

This pattern is written using U.S. crochet terminology.
