NOTE
If you want a larger (or smaller) rug, you can adjust the size by changing the number of stitches you cast on. Just cast on a multiple of 30+2 sts. You will also need to adjust the number of stitches along the edges; pick up and knit 3 sts for every 4 rows. Yarn quantities will vary.

If you want to create a blanket (instead of a rug) with a softer drape, use a larger needle size (eg 8mm). Yarn quantities will vary as the blanket will be bigger, and also see above note about altering the size.

18.5 sts and 18 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) using 5mm needles over pattern; 12.5 sts and 23 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) using 5mm needles over garter stitch.
