Chunky Rustic Ridges Sweater
After more than 2 years, I’m happy to finally be able to share with you a new crochet pattern: the Chunky Rustic Ridges sweater!
This sweater is perfect for Bulky/Chunky yarn lovers who want a warm and cozy sweater that is also elegant and romantic at the same time.
As all of my patterns, it’s #sizeinclusive and also beginner friendly.
It comes in 9 sizes, from XS to 5XL, with instructions on how to make a longer or shorter sweater if needed.
Here are some characteristics of the design and what you will find inside the PDF pattern:
-
Beginner friendly crochet pattern, written in US Terms.
-
Color-coded sizes and step-by-step photos.
-
The sweater is worked from bottom up in four panels (one back panel, one front panel and two sleeve panels). The finishing of the collar is crocheted onto the body once it’s sewn.
-
The sweater is designed to be worn with 2”-4” (5-10cm) of positive ease.
-
It’s designed to fit the following bust measurements: XS (28”-30”), S (32”-34”), M (36”-38”), L (40”-42”), XL (44”-46”), 2XL (48”-50”), 3XL (52”-54”), 4XL (56”-58”), 5XL (60”-62”). If you are between sizes, you can choose whether to size up for an oversize look or to size down for a fitted look.
-
Final bust measurements are: XS (32”), S (36”), M (40”), L (44”), XL (48”), 2XL (52”), 3XL (56”), 4XL (60”), 5XL (64”).
-
You will need approx. 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) balls of WeAreKnitters’ “The Wave wool” yarn, or approx. 630 (700, 770, 850, 940, 1030, 1130, 1240, 1370) yards of any Bulky / Chunky / 12 ply weight yarn. I suggest to use a similar yarn to obtain the same wavy effect characteristic of this sweater.
-
It requires a 8.00 mm crochet hook for main part (or size needed to obtain gauge) and 7.00 mm crochet hook for ribbing (go up or down one hook size if you have had to change hook size for the gauge)
-
There are directions on how to make a longer/shorter sweater.
-
The sample in the picture is a size S.
I hope you will enjoy it! :)
Kristina
