Two patterns - a crocheted beanie and scarf. The pattern is appropriate for a beginner with a basic knowledge of crochet.

Make it to the size you need. Both the hat and the beanie use interesting but not difficult textured stitches and the scarf has shell borders on each end.

The pattern calls for one cake of Caron Latte but another chunky weight (no 5) yarn or an Aran weight yarn can be substituted.
