Chunky slipover is a bulky and oversize slipover in brioche stitch worked with double thread on thick needles. It keeps you warm without the feeling of too much fabric, no matter whether it’s worn as an outer slipover or under a jacket on cold winter days.
First the back piece is worked bottom up in rows, before casting off stitches at the neck. Thereafter the V-neck is shaped while the front piece is worked top down. The vents at the sides are sewn together when working the ribbing around the armhole openings. Brioche stitch is stretchy and moves nicely when worn. The ribbings at all edges create a perfectly fitted frame and give the slipover a neat finish.
Colour:
The slipover pictured in this instruction is worked in Hip Wool colour Blue Waves.
Size guide:
Choose a size that is approx. 25-30 cm wider (positive ease) than your chest circumference.
The circumference is measured across the bust, right under the armhole opening.
The stated measurements on the front page are for the finished garment.
