Here is an easy crochet pattern for a chunky Slouchy Beanie hat. It’s done in bulky weight yarn (size 5) with a large crochet hook (size P) and can be finished in a couple of hours. It features the V-Stitch, which is a double crochet, a chain, and another double crochet.

The hat is crocheted in the round with no seam. Stitches used are chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet. You will need one skein of bulky weight yarn, a size P (11.5) crochet hook, and a yarn needle for weaving in the ends when you are finished.

This hat can also be made with a double strand of any worsted weight (4) yarn.

The hat measures 9” from top to edge and fits a head circumference of 19” to 23”
