This is a simple pattern to follow, the same techniques and stitches are used in different rounds to create an effect. After the first few rounds there is no need to stitch count and it is a very forgiving pattern if you make a mistake and very little need to frog and redo work. The basic pattern can be enlarged to make a larger blanket. The same pattern could equally easily be adapted to a square or rectangular blanket.
