Ciabatta
These knitted Ciabatta Slippers keep your feet toasty warm. Make a pair for yourself, for guests, or gifts. Did you know that handing a pair of knitted slippers to a guest is quite common in Scandinavian harsh winters? A fun fact about ciabatta is that it can be bread or slippers in Italian.
The Ciabattas are knitted using the mosaic knitting technique in garter stitch. The slippers are worked from the toe up. The toe is worked in rounds, and the sole and the heel are worked flat.
Size refers to the foot circumference. Slippers can be worked on double-pointed needles, two circular needles, in the magic loop technique, or other types of needles convenient for the knitter to knit small circumferences in the round.
Size
S, finished circumference 20 cm / 8” to fit foot 20 – 23 cm / 8 - 9”
M, finished circumference 22 cm / 8¾” to fit foot 22 – 25 cm / 8¾ – 10”
Size refers to the circumference of the foot measured around the widest part of the foot.
Foot length: adjustable to fit.
