Cicadas are the sound of the South, and these fun summer socks will have you waving your fan and asking for mint juleps.

You can use any fingering sock yarn for this pattern. Pattern is sized to 56(64)(68)(72) stitches round, but any even number that works for you will work fine. Socks shown were knit 68 stitches round, Two At A Time, round toe, Fleegle heel. Pattern contains links to all techniques plus Fish Lip Kiss heel if desired.

Materials

One skein of fingering sock yarn (400-459 yards)(100 grams)

Size 1 (2.25mm) circular knitting needles, 40” long if doing Two At A Time, Magic Loop, or size 1 needles of your choice.

Optional, Elastic- If you use cotton, or cotton blend socks, you may need to add elastic to the tops. Cotton tends to stretch some and not spring back.
