Cindy Lou is a fun and festive skirt knitted with ribbon and ruffle yarn. Perfect for a holiday party, costume or a day when you just need ruffles. Knit in the round, from the bottom up, this is a simple knit. The ruffle and ribbon yarn are knitted into the skirt as it is completed, not after. The skirt is straight, with just a minor amount of shaping at the waistband, where elastic provides easy sizing.

If Red Heart Ribbons yarn is new to you, they have a nice video on how to use it. http://www.redheart.com/learn/videos/learn-knit-boutique-... The pattern includes specific instructions on how the yarn is worked into the skirt. The bottom of the skirt has one row of ruffle yarn, a tutorial is available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&...

The pattern is written in three sizes, that can be knitted to any length. This pattern can, however, be easily adjusted to fit any waist size.

For reference on buying yarn; the sample knitted in a 24 inch waist is 17 inches long and required approximately 280 yards of With Love and 2 balls of Ribbons. The sample knitted in a 32 inch waist is 15 inches long and required 380 yards of With Love and 2 balls of Ribbons.
