The pattern for this shawl was created for the MIDI Yarnclub for Chefwol.nl with coffee as it’s main theme. The shawl is featured in a handdyed yarn dyed in a coffee colorway mixed with a brown commercial yarn. The lace patterns refer to cinnamon.

This pattern is available in DUTCH and US English.

This shawl combines a handdyed yarn with a (semi-)solid commercial yarn and is an easy to (tv-) knit garter shawl, with some lace parts to keep things interesting.

Yarn:

  • Chefwol’s Finest Handdyed Sock ‘Don’t Spill the Beans’, 1 skein of 100gr, is used for the sample. Alternatives are any fingering weight hand dyed or commercial yarn.
  • Scheepjes Metropolis ‘062 Valencia’, 2 balls of 50gr, are used for the sample. Alternatives are any fingering weight hand dyed or commercial yarn.

Needle:
This shawl is knit with a 3.75mm (US 5) needle and a 80cm-150cm cable. The size you need depends on your gauge.
