Cinnamon Stripes
Inspired by the warm and energizing feeling of spice markets, Cinnamon stripes is a cowl pattern that will keep you warm during the winter months.
The body of the cowl is worked flat and the ends are grafted together as to produce a cowl with fun vertical stripes.
Yarn:
Lana Grossa Olympia (Super Bulky; 53% Wool, 47% Acrylic; 100 meters / 109 yards per 100 grams); sample shown in Color 040 Cognac/Cinnamon/Mint/Camel/Blue; 4 balls.
Needles:
8 mm (US size 11) needles or size to obtain gauge.
An extra needle in the same size for working Kitchener stitch
Gauge:
10 stitches and 16 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch, blocked.
Note: obtaining the gauge given is not crucial but will affect the finished size and the yardage needed.
Notions:
Scrap yarn (in weight Super Bulky). Tapestry needle.
Size:
One; easily customizable. Suggestions are given to customize the pattern.
Final Measurements:
Circumference 136 cm / 53.5 inches, height 43 cm / 17 inches, see schematic.
Skill level:
Basic stitches. Provisional CO. Kitchener stitch.
