Cinnamon Whip Vest
This pattern was part of the Fall into Autumn Blog Hop. It is part of the bundle in addition to being available as a standalone PDF in my shop. Purchasing the bundle through my link will also get you a copy of my Einkorn Cup Cozy pattern!
The Cinnamon Whip Vest is my ideal layering piece - squishy and warm, with a dramatic ribbed shawl collar and generous pockets. It is worked in one piece using a sideways construction. The sides are seamed, and then the glorious finishing touches are added, including the shawl collar, ribbed button bands, and the pocket backings and ribbing. This vest features subtle shoulder shaping for a more tailored fit.
This pattern is graded for 11 sizes covering bust/chest measurements of 29-62”/74-158 cm. It is a wonderful gender-neutral garment that looks great in subtle colors (such as the speckled tan that inspired the pattern name) or with pops of color or vertical stripes. Large buttons give you another opportunity to customize and add your own personal flair!
Level: Advanced beginner. This pattern uses sc and hdc as well as slip stitch ribbing and a bit of seaming. The shawl collar is worked using short rows.
