The body of Annie Modesitt’s cardigan is knit in a circle from the center back outward. The stained glass effect--alternate garter-stitch stripes and two-stitch color changes with floats on the right side. The sweater moonlights as a shrug when worn with the shorter side on the bottom; the longer side folds into a dramatic shawl collar.
