CITRINE socks
The CITRINE socks are an understated elegant accessory, with an all-over textured look created by combining different ribbed and cabled stitch patterns.
These socks are worked from the cuff down, featuring heel and toe shaping using wrap and turn short rows and extra room at the instep. For maximum comfort, the sole is done in stockinette stitch. They can be worked as mid-crew, ankle, or crew socks – for a perfect eye catcher, have the cuff peek out of your shoes!
The CITRINE jumper and the CITRINE socks are a
vertknit x woollentwine collab.

SUGGESTED YARN
woollentwine Ovis Sock (375 m / 100 g)
1 skein
If you are knitting the largest side, you might want to get a second skein just in case, especially if you would like to work a crew sock instead of a mid-crew sock.
Jule is a Hamburg based fiber artist who creates stunning colorways using natural ingredients. Like with most hand-dyed yarn brands, the colorways on offer change every few months. For my mid-crew sock sample, I used “Ginger” (2023). For my ankle sock sample, I used “Terracotta” (2023).
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
Use the necessary needle sizes to get the given gauge.
You’ll need different sizes DPN or shorties (or use the magic loop). The pattern isn’t written for any specific sock knitting needle method.
For the main fabric, I used 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles. For the half-twisted rib, I used 2 mm (US 0).
Cable needle (CN), 2-3 stitch markers, a few removable stitch markers to track the work, stitch holder for trying on, tapestry needle, measuring tape
