There are two versions of this pattern available. Please be sure you obtain the version you prefer:
June 2024 version: available in the magazine in UK terminology.
December 2024 version: sold by the designer in the Made with Love and Fibres Ravelry store including two separate versions for US and UK terminology plus notes on modifying the pattern for a belt earrings or custom size.
Inspired by fruity citrus cocktails with sliced fruit, bobbing ice cubes and a swirl of berry juice, this choker is a fun accessory to complement summer clothes or a party outfit. It could be a perfect and easily mailed gift for a cocktail lover or citrus fruit grower.
Make this because it’s a fast and fun make as you see your thread quickly work up into something so recognisable and it’s an eye-catching accessory that is a real conversation starter.
Sizes: child (adult, adult plus size)
Tension: 26 sts = 10cm / 4” measured over choker section using 1.5 mm hook, after blocking. The 4 row band is 2.5cm / 1” wide. A completed lemon motif has a diameter of 4.5 cm / 1.75”.
Working method: choker is worked flat, back and forth. Motifs are created and all pieces are assembled. A ribbon tie is woven through the eyelets.

- Rico Essentials Crochet (100% cotton; 280m / 306yd per 50g) or similar thread. Sample in Vanilla (020) as MC, Yellow (013) as CC. MC: 25 (30, 35)m / 25 (30, 35) yd CC: 20 m / 20 yd
- 1m / 1 yd of pale pink 3mm / 1/8” wide ribbon
- 1.5mm (US steel 8) hook
- 1 lockable stitch marker

The ribbon ties make the fit very flexible. For the classic close fit chokers usually have, choose a size 1-8cm / ½-3.25 in smaller than the neck circumference to allow a gap for tying the ribbons.
This pattern is supplied in a UK terminology and a US terminology version. Please be sure you download a copy in your preferred terminology. I recommend that you read through the pattern before starting.
