Hat is worked in the round, from the bottom. For crown shaping, stitches are divided onto four dpns, in lieu of using markers, to easily set up the decreases. Crown closed with three-needle BO or by grafting.

Long-tail cast on, three-needle bind off, kitchener stitch/grafting (links provided); decreasing, working in the round.
