City Lights Hat
I live in the city, and love finding the magic wherever I go. City Lights is inspired by a rainy winter night walking through New York City when the streetlights and car lights reflect off the pavement to create a glow that mingles with the windows of all the buildings. Winter in the city can be a beautiful time of year.
City Lights is a stranded colorwork hat knit in the round, from the bottom up. It features a wide folded brim with a vintage-inspired racing stripe. The colorwork portion of the hat is charted only and the chart is read from bottom to top and from right to left. The pattern repeats across 12 sts. You can adjust the size of the hat by adding or subtracting 12 sts, but know this will affect the yardage requirements. The pattern is written for two sizes and referred to as 1 (2).

This project uses three colors of yarn. The yellow is fingering held with mohair lace to achieve the extra glowy effect, but can be substituted for one strand of DK.
A great alternative is KnitPicks Swish DK.
