The design for these mitts is inspired by the Irish Claddagh ring, and, like the ring, are made to be flippable in order to indicate heart-availability.

Materials

  • US size 1 (2.25 mm) dpns or circular needles (for magic loop)
  • 2 or 3 colors fingering weight yarn:
  • MC (main color): ~110 yds (101 m) if using 2 colors, or ~70 yds (64 m) if using 3
  • CC (contrasting color): ~70 yds (64 m)
  • AC (accent color, optional): ~40 yds (37 m)
