This beanie uses mosaic crochet to create the branching pattern inspired by the diagrams representing phylogenetic trees. Make one to celebrate Darwin Day (February 12)!

Yarn:
Lace or light fingering weight yarn in at least two colors:
one main background color (170 yd)
alternate color (220 yd total):
- brim color (80 yd)
- pattern color (140 yd total) four colors of 35 yd each in sample
