A basic cabled hat pattern, suitable for fairly new knitters who want to try cabling! The best part is it’s very stretchy, so you don’t really need to swatch; a general size guess should be close enough. Includes optional instructions to convert to “messy bun hat” with an opening on the top.

Includes pattern adjustments for any worsted-to-bulky yarn; adjust needle size accordingly, US 7-9.
