I designed this Claire’s Hunt Capelet as a replica of the capelet worn by Caitriona Balfe (in episodes 4 & 5) of the TV show “Outlander”. It is small cape style shoulder covering with a tie front.

The capelet comes in 4 sizes S, M, L & XL. Sizes are determined by measuring the width of one’s shoulders across the back.

The capelet is knit on size 11 needles, either straight or circular used as straight, is knit flat, and all one piece.

You’ll need 1-1.25 skeins (150 to 185 yards) of a bulky yarn, like Knit Picks, Wool of the Andes Superwash or other similar bulky yarn.
