The Clara Sweater is my take on a basic drop shoulder sweater with a cabled ribbing detail to make it a little more unique. The pattern is knit from the top down and includes written and charted instructions for the cabled rib pattern.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Sizing: 1-10, please see attached image for breakdown of measurements

Note: While all sizes have been tech edited, only sizes 1-7 have been test knitted. If you are interested in knitting sizes 8+ please message me. I would be happy to provide you the pattern for free in exchange for feedback on those sizes! Please email me at charsknits@gmail.com.

Skills required: backward loop cast-on, cable bind-off (explained in pattern), right lifted increase, long tail cast-on

Materials:
Estimated Yardage: 900 (950, 1000, 1050) 1100, 1200, 1300 (1400, 1500, 1600) m/984 (1039, 1094, 1148) 1203, 1312, 1422 (1531, 1640, 1750) yds of either a fingering weight yarn held with the same yardage of a laceweight yarn OR of a single DK yarn

Sample made with Garthenor Preseli (200 m/219 yards per 50g) held with Isager Silk Mohair (212 m/232 yards per 25g)

Keep in mind if you make modifications like lengthening the sweater, you may require more yarn

Suggested Needles:Main Body needle: Size 4mm (US 6) 80+ cm/32+ inch circular needle (used for main body and magic loop for sleeves) OR shorter 4mm (US 6) circular needle and 5 Size 4mm (US 6) DPNs for sleeve

Ribbing: Size 3.5mm (US 4) 80+ cm/32+ inch circular needle for magic loop OR 5 Size 3.5mm (US 4) DPNs

Ribbing bind-off: Size 3 mm (US 2.5) 80+ cm/32+ inch circular needle for magic loop OR 5 Size 3mm (US 2.5) DPNs  (Smaller needles are used to prevent the bind off from flaring. You can use another size needle instead as long as it is smaller than the ribbing needle.)

Notions: 5 stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, cable needle, tapestry needle, elastic thread for neck and cuff edges (optional)

Gauge: Stockinette after blocking using the Main Body Needle: 20 sts x 30 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm/4 inches x 4 inches

Errata: will go here. (Note: purchasing on Ravelry instead of Etsy will allow you to get updates of the pattern if changes are made as Etsy does not allow updating patterns).
