Clara's Festive Socks
Pressed and placed the night before, ready for the morning.
A special dress for celebration - laid out in anticipation,
of smiles and laughs and festive hugs,
jokes and games on cosy rugs,
A dress to dance and sit and play,
A special dress for a special day.
Inspired by their namesakes pretty Christmas outfit in the wonderful ballet The Nutcracker, the Clara’s Festive Socks feature a lovely lace pattern, simple to execute but very striking to look at. They are finished off with a pretty bow just like Clara’s real dress. With a short pattern repeat these socks are easy to commit to memory while still having enough interest to make the knitting fun. They are knitted cuff down and finished with an eye of partridge heel flap and a rounded wedge toe.
