I designed these cozy, fingerless gloves as follow up pattern to the Clarity Shawl. I found that I had enough leftover yarn to make a matching pair of gloves. These gloves use the same garter ridges as the shawl and they complement the shawl quite nicely. These gloves have a snug fit and I have extended the wrist length so they will fit comfortably under a coat or a long sleeve shirt.
These gloves are worked from the cuff to the finger opening. You will create a thumb gusset and place those stitches on a holder and then pick them up and finish the thumb at the end. I have included a couple video links for a few of the skills mentioned in the pattern as well as a video link on how to pick up the thumb stitches at the end.
