An easy knit beanie hat design in sizes for children and adults. Everyone needs a classic hat like this so make one for everyone in the family! The hat is knitted in Aran weight yarn so is a quick knit and instructions are provided for knitting the hat flat (edge to edge with a seam) or in the round.

SIZES
Child (3-10 years): To fit 51cm (20”) head circumference
Pre-teen/teen : To fit 53.5cm (21”) head circumference
Average Adult: To fit 57cm (22.5”) head circumference
Large Adult: To fit 57-61cm (22.5 - 24”) head circumference
These sizes are the “unstretched” sizes – the hat will fit average size heads in the age range.

YARN
Any worsted-Aran weight yarn – subject to achieving the correct gauge. I strongly recommend you knit a gauge swatch to produce the correct size hat! I used Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran for my sample.

Quantity: Approximately 120m for the child size and 200m for the adult sizes
