The Classic Christmas Cardigan Crochet Pattern!

Christmas was my favorite time of the year for a LONG time. I considered myself a tornado of Christmas cheer, making gifts and picking out the perfect Christmas cards for everyone I knew. I know I’m not the only one who feels they lost some of that childhood Christmas cheer as they got older due to loss and difficult times in life. Turns out, when times are tough, people often look to nostalgia for comfort and this cardigan truly embodies that Christmas nostalgia for me! I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I enjoyed designing it!

This is a size inclusive pattern and is NOT made to measure, each size has full instructions and stitch counts as well as a full measurement guide with models at the end of the pattern!

Sizes included: XXS/XS(XS/S,S/M,M/L,L/XL,XL/2X,2X/3X,3X/4X,4X/5X)

For this pattern you will need:

• Super Bulky (6) weight yarn - I used Bernat Blanket Yarn
• Yardage: 482 (XXS/XS), 542 (XS/S), 602 (S/M), 662 (M/L), 722 (L/XL), 782 (XL/2X), 842 (2X/3X), 902 (3X/4X), 962 (4X/5X)
• 14mm crochet Hook - 14mm hooks are harder to find but you can use a 15mm or 13mm hook for this project as well just be sure to check your gauge.
• Optional 11mm or 12mm hook if you’d like tighter ribbing around the wrist & for the optional belt
• Tapestry Needle & Scissors

Gauge (4”x4”): 5.5 HDC stitches x 6 HDC rows

Estimated Chest Circumference of finished cardigan: XXS/XS (34.5”), XS/S (39”), S/M (43”), M/L (47.5”), L/XL (52”), XL/2X (56”), 2X/3X (60.5”), 3X/4X (65”), 4X/5X (69”)
