Classic Herringbone Throw

I adore the look of herringbone and wanted to design a quintessential piece that uses this classic stitch with a twist. In Lion Brand Mandala Impressions, the fabric is elevated by the hand painted look of this yarn. I selected a fun color way, Tie Dye, to contrast the timelessness of the stitch with a bright and funky color to bring joy to any room.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

NEEDLES:
US 17 (12 mm) 40” (or longer) circular knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge)
US 13 (9 mm) 40” (or longer) circular knitting needles

YARN:
Bulky/Chunky Weight (5) - 1,476 yds (1,350 m)
Suggested Yarn: Lion Brand Mandala® Impressions Yarn - 100% acrylic 9 balls total
Color used in sample: Tie Dye 556-214AG

NOTIONS:
Large eye darning needle, scissors, iron/steamer and 3.25” wide piece of cardboard

GAUGE:
4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm: 15 sts x 13 rows in herringbone stitch pattern

FINISHED SIZE:
Approximately 42.5” (108 cm) wide x 49.5” (126 cm) tall
