To make this hat you will need basic crochet knowledge and knowing how to crochet in rounds. The stitches used are single crochet and slip stitches.

MATERIAL
270 gr of cotton yarn for hook No.4 (US G/6)
Hook No. 3.5 (US 4/E)
A piece of wire for the brim, 1.2 mm in diameter
An old belt, chain or scarf to decorate the hat

GENERAL INFO ABOUT THE PATTERN
The hat is worked with double strand and hook no. 3.5 (US 4/E) to make the hat firm. Work single crochet inserting the hook into the back loop of each stitch. Crochet in spirals, i.e. do not work the initial chain at the beginning of the round, because you want the hat to be neat, without that ugly “seam” that is created when working in rounds and joining with a slip stitch. Using a piece of contrasting yarn or a marker, mark the beginning of each round, and as the work progresses, move the marker up to be able to follow the work.
The last round of the brim is crocheted over a wire to make it firm. There is a video tutorial for this part of instructions.
