Each strip that begins at the front hem passes over the shoulder and ends with a back hem. The center back is a separate strip that runs from neck to hem. Sleeves are rectangles as usual and a traditional straight binding is used around the neckline & front edge. The simplicity of this design means that we can make the strips out of any fabric we like. I chose a simple fairisle for the big strips and stockinette for the center back. These harmonize well with simple hung hems. If you select a fabric that does not work well with such a hem, consider knitting the entire length of the strips hem-less and finishing the edges later with worm trim or crocheting. The sample is made from an assortment of saved up scraps of luxury yarn, making random color changes in the two long strips as the colors were used up

5 gauges and 5 sizes are given to make the pattern work for any machine and wearer.
