Everybody needs a teddy bear! Let’s spread some kindness by making one for yourself and everyone you know! The Classic Crochet Teddy Bear is the perfect gift to make for children and adults. Included in the pattern are the directions for making crochet eyes if you wish to eliminate using the safety eyes for young children. And don’t forget the optional bow tie/hair bow as well!
Besides being someone’s new best friend, the Classic Crochet Teddy Bear is also perfect for gift giving and nursery decor.
PATTERN INFORMATION
Your PDF purchase includes written instructions and pictures of the bear at various angles at the end of the pattern for optional printing. The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.
SKILLS NEEDED
- The skill level needed is intermediate crochet (but give it a try if you’re an ambitious beginner!).
- The techniques you will need to know are the chain, single crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet, increase, invisible decrease, working in the back bar of a chain, and the adjustable ring.
MATERIALS NEEDED
To complete the teddy bear you will need yarn (about 230 yds of worsted/aran) in your choice of colors, a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, a stitch marker, tapestry needle, stuffing, pins, and safety eyes (optiona).
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
The finished Teddy Bear measures approximately 9 inches to the tip of the ear in the sitting position.
