This is my go-to unicorn hat for all the unicorn lovers in my life! This free online pattern gives instructions for a general child hat size (which is easily adaptable) and instructions for creating the body parts for a unicorn head. Any yarn can be used, but I used super bulky for the hat body (quick, and thick for cold weather), worsted for the mane, and DK for the horn. You can use worsted for the horn as well.

Yardage will vary, but you’ll need less than one skein of super bulky yarn for the hat body and tiny bits of various colors for the mane.

9mm hook for super bulky hat body
5.5 hook for mane and horn
Tapestry needle for sewing in ends
