This pattern gives instructions for a brimmed swirly crochet hat with optional tutorial for a front post double crochet (FPDC).

Materials:
• Bulky weight acrylic or wool yarn (size 5)
• K (6.5 mm) crochet hook
• tapestry needle (for weaving in loose ends)

Gauge: 3 rows dc = 2” high, 3 dc = 1.5” wide. Adjust accordingly.

This pattern is for a woman’s adult size (approximately 20” unstretched to fit a 22” head).
