This pattern is for knitting a baby dress. I was inspired by my youngest niece and wanted a dress that could fit her as a baby and be a top when she is older.

Claudia Dress is knitted in the round starting with a 2x2 rib as a chest band, continuing with a chevron pattern and finishing with a lace edge.

No sewing involved, after finishing body of the dress pick up stitches for straps.

Dress finished measurements are:
Chest 18” to 20”
Length (minus straps) 13”

Recommended size 6 to 12 months old. Baby in the picture is 10 months old and measures 19” chest.

Gauge:
20 sts x 32 rows = 1” with smaller needles (4 mm / 6 US) in Stockinette St.
