The Clear Lake Cowl is an advanced beginner pattern that highlights the best qualities of alpaca yarn. A field of shadow cables melt into the stockinette background, providing just enough texture to look as soft as alpaca feels. Bordered by a just-beyond-basic 6 stitch cable, this cowl is perfect for someone new to cable knitting who wants the motivation of something truly lovely.

Because it is knit flat and easy to add repeats this pattern is also customizable to any size or yarn weight you want. Instructions are given for DK weight with 2 pattern repeats in the center panel but you can adapt it easily.

In short, this can be a great stash buster!

The pattern is given in both charted and written form.

Additionally, the accessible version of this pattern has 24 point font, all black text, no italics, sans serif font, and fully written out directions.
