Clematis
The name Clematis comes from the Greek meaning climbing plant and it originates from the 16th century referring to the blossoming vine with white or purple blooms. It is these beautiful white and purple flowers that first attracted me to the Clematis as purple used to be my favourite colour (until I came to the conclusion that I just couldn’t decide on a favourite colour!).
This pattern is worked in the round and I use abbreviations according to US crochet language. I can provide the pattern in UK crochet language if preferred, please just contact me.
The finished clematis is approximately 11cm (4.25”) in diameter. This flower would be beautiful as a hair fascinator or as an embellishment on a bag.
Tools Needed:
3.5mm (US size E) crochet hook
scissors
yarn needle
Yarn Needed:
DK acrylic yarn in purple and white.
(Other colours shown are: purple/plum/lemon yellow and baby pink/candy pink/plum).
If you need any help or advice please feel free to contact me.
