This is the 1st in my Jardin D’été Pot Cosy series.
Looking to give your indoor pots a little pop?

These pot cosies are a quick, easy make!
Your finished pot cosy can cover any plain pot.
They can be used to dress up a bland pot containing a plant, or even a container used to hold pens, toothbrushes, flowers, anything!

You can buy this pot cosy pattern, or my other 2 pot cosy patterns (Clematis & Foxtail) separately in this series for US$3 each or head back to my shop and buy the set of all 3 patterns for US$7!!

I have my plants planted in a plastic pot which sits inside a plain ceramic planter. This then sits snugly inside the crocheted cosy. That way the cosy won’t become damaged from water leakage.

This digital pattern will show you how to create a funky pot plant cover/ cosy which is decorated in a Clematis flower motif with luscious little gold french knots.
There are full instructions in how to crochet the cosy, the leaves, flower, stems and how to embroider the french knots.

The finished product will suit pots 9 cm in diameter and 11 cm tall, however there are tips inside as to how to adjust the size of your cosy to fit larger or smaller pots.

Grab a selection of your favourite colours in 4 ply cotton yarn (I have used Scheepjes Catona for it’s bright colours and smooth feel), a 3mm hook and let’s get to it!

American crochet terminology is used.

Must have a basic to intermediate knowledge of how to crochet and read crochet patterns.

In this pattern I use Scheepjes Catona 4 ply and Milford Metallics gold yarn and I give a list of colours used in the illustrative photos, however you can use whatever compatible yarns available to you.
This pages consists of 10 pages. Not because it’s long and boring but because there are fantastic instructions as well as step by step charts for the flowers and leaves and loads of helpful photos to help you along!
