Materials:

· Aaron or worsted yarn of choice - 5 colours for stripes on arms and legs (also two of those colours for top of dress- and flower) (for top of dress - suggestions are dark green and light green)- Red heart super savor is excellent choice
· red heart boutique Unforgettable in petunia
Loops and threads kaleidoscope Mardi Gras
· colour for skirt and hat-suggestion of white
· socks- suggestion of bernat chunky in cream
· colour for shoes if knitting shoes- suggestion of pink
· Red Heart Light and Lofty Solid in galaxy
· 5 double pointed needles (size US 7 -4.5mm)
· 5 double pointed needles (size US 4 3.5mm)
· Tapestry needle to sew parts together
· Stuffing of your choice (I use polyester Stuffing)
· 5 stitch markers
· Stitch holder or waste yarn
· crochet hook G or H
· small button for back of dress
OPTIONS:
These are different choices to create the face. You choose what works for you.

· Size 5 baby shoes if you choose to not knit the shoes
Abbreviations:
K: knit
K2tog: knit two together
P: purl
st st: stockinette stitch
Kfb: Knit into front loop, then knit into back loop - increase of one stitch.
Pfb: Purl into front loop then purl into back loop - increase one stitch.
C/o: Knit two stitches on the right hand needle, with left needle pull first stitch back and over the second stitch leaving one stitch. Repeat until you have one stitch left, pull yarn through and weave in the ends.
Y/o: wrap yarn around the right-hand needle from back to front before knitting the next stitch.
Picot bind off: knit two stitches, cast off one, move remaining stitch back to left needle, cable cast on two stitches, bind off 4, repeat until end of row.
Dc: Yarn over hook. Insert hook in the next stitch to be worked. Yarn over hook. Pull yarn through stitch. Yarn over hook. Pull yarn through 2 loops on hook. Yarn over hook. Pull yarn through last 2 loops.
Sc: Insert hook in the second chain stitch through the center of the V and under the back bump-bring yarn over the hook from back to front, and hook yarn-pull yarn through the chain stitch. You now have two loops on the hook. Bring yarn over the hook from back to front, hook it and draw it through both loops on the hook.
I-cord: Cast on 4 stitches, knit the first row. Slide the stitches to the opposite end of the
needle-working yarn is at the bottom of the row. Knit again, pulling the working yarn up the
back of the piece so you can work with it. Repeat until you get your desired length.

I-cord bind off: Cast on three more stitches at the beginning of the row, with all the
stitches on the left-hand needle, (knit 2, k2tog- put the three stitches from right need back on left needle and knit 2, k2tog through back loop) repeat to end of row.

Backward Loop Cast-on: With working yarn in your left hand, wrap the working yarn over
your thumb from front to back, and grasp it with your remaining fingers to tension. Insert
the needle under the yarn looped around your thumb, working from bottom to top. Pull up on
the needle a little as you slide the yarn off your thumb and onto the needle.
M1 (make 1)= lift the horizontal yarn lying between the needles and place it onto the left-hand needle. Work this new stitch through the back loop.
Seaming two pieces together- Insert the yarn needle under the horizontal bar between the first and second stitches. Insert the needle into the corresponding bar on the other piece. Continue alternating from side to side.
