Most of the doilies that I doodle with thread spring from my love for flowers and I am inclined to use at least some element of the flower in the doilies I create.
The center of this doily is inspired by one such element which i found in the spider flowers and a few other flowers belonging to the species Cleome. Hence the name for the doily if you wondered.
Gauge is not terribly important. But be aware that different size hooks and threads could change the size of the doily considerably.
