Clew Bay is the final installment of my “Irish Roots” collection, inspired by my family’s Irish heritage. Unlike the other poncho in the collection, “Castlebar”, clew bay is a simple pullover poncho with no need for arm openings. 4 (4, 4, 5, 5)(5, 6, 6, 6) skeins of A Hundred Ravens “Epona” (shown in “Storm”) Approx. 750 (800, 850, 900, 950)(1000, 1050, 1100, 1150) yds/685 (730, 770, 825, 870)(915, 960, 1005, 1050) meters of worsted weight yarn.

Sizes
Sizes are calculated with no ease. If you wish to add more ease, select one size larger for 1-2”/2.5-5cm of ease or two sizes larger for 3-4”/8-10cm of ease.

Needles
US 6/4mm 16” circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)*
US 6/4mm 32” circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)*
US 5/3.75mm 16” circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
Cable Needle
If you wish to use fewer needles, you can use the magic loop method and a needle that is 40 or 60” long as a substitute for the two US 6/4mm needles. I used a 60” needle so I could easily try on my poncho as I knit.
