This shawl is the third in a series of Fall leaf shawls I did using the climbing leaf pattern. It is technically an asymmetric shawl, but the dimensions end up being more like a regular triangle. With one cake of yarn you get a nice sized shawl that is lightweight and drapy and soooo soft!

To make my shawl, I used one cake of Yarn Bee 44th Street in the “Ruby” color. My finished shawl is 49” across the top and 26” tall at the center point. Two skeins of 44th Street would make a lovely, large shawl, or you can use any weight of yarn and corresponding hook to get the size you want.

Skill: Intermediate

Supplies:

  • About 540 yards of a #3 light weight yarn. (You will need more yarn if you want your shawl bigger than mine.)
  • 5mm hook
  • stitch marker
