Climbing the Beanstalk
This pattern is written for a toe-up sock that has a lace panel along the outer edge of the top of each foot that resembles a climbing vine (or a beanstalk!). I have designed it for three sizes, but in reality you could knit it to almost any size as the entire sock is in stockinette stitch except for that lace panel of 13 stitches. I have designed this pattern with the magic loop process in mind, so if you choose to knit it on DPNs you may need to adjust your stitches accordingly.
The pattern includes written instructions as well as a chart for the lace panel. This pattern is suitable for anyone comfortable with toe-up sock construction and basic lace techniques.
This pattern is currently exclusive to the participants of the Into the Wool Fiber Retreat which I’m sponsoring with the lovely ladies of the Just One More Row knitting podcast. The pattern will be available to the public in May.
