These yarn keepers (or, gift bags) are especially handy for knitters who prefer to work while they walk. Also consider using kitchen cotton for a small, zero-waste, reusable produce bag.

The ‘Climbing Vines’ pattern is very easy - plus, it’s got enough stretch that one of those humongous commercial cakes will fit easily. It helps if the knitter works fairly loose. (I used one of them for the photos.)

There is no gauge required for this pattern - if a different size is required, changing to a larger or smaller needle should do it.

Cast-on, Knit, Purl, K2T (knit 2 together), YO (Yarn Over to increase), KFB (Knit in the front, then in the back of the same stitch to increase), PM (Place Marker), 2x2 Rib (K2,P2)
