Clive is an easy-knit men’s glove in three sizes. Using only stocking stitch and 2x2 rib, Clive knits up quickly in DK weight yarn. The arched gusset and ribbed thumb add interest for both the knitter and the wearer.

The pattern is written in three sizes:
Small - to fit hand 18-20 cm
Medium - to fit hand 20-22 cm
Large - to fit hand 22-24 cm
Hand is measured around, just above the thumb.

Yarn requirements:
Approx 190 (210, 230)m / 210 (230, 250) yds of double knitting yarn.

The samples shown here were made from Drops Merino Extra Fine (100% extrafine merino wool) in shade 03, Dark Grey Mix. For size medium, there was a small amount left from two 50g balls. A good substitute for this yarn is Debbie Bliss Rialto DK or Cashmerino DK, although the pattern is suitable for any double knitting yarn that knits to the correct tension. A high wool content is recommended for warmth!

Other supplies:
3¼mm (UK10, US3) dpns, set of four
4mm (UK8, US6) dpns, set of four
Note: you can work the cuff and hand of the gloves using circular needles and the magic loop method if you prefer, but you will need dpns for the fingers and thumbs due to the small number of stitches.
