This is a pattern from my How to Spin and Knit Gradient Tops.

This is a spin to knit pattern… its origin in design is based on my local cathedral, but the colour idea is based on my recent gradient spinning series.

Skill Level – Intermediate.

Yarn – 100g/99m, 7wpi bulky weight handspun. Alternatively you could try a commercial bulky weight.

Needles – 6mm/10 US 40cm circulars, with 6mm double point needles to cast off.

Finished Measurements – Laying flat, the brim measures 16” in circumference and the hat is 8 inches tall.

To Fit: 20 inch head circumference.

Ease – approx.. 4cm negative ease.
