For those who are starting their knitting journey, these little pieces are great for practice, because the same techniques are used as on the baby size pieces. So not only this is a toy for babies and kids, but also a powerful learning tool for knitting beginners as well.

PATTERNS INFORMATIONS:

SPRING BLOSSOMS DRESS FOR THE OAK FOLK:
This little dress is knitted in the round from the top down with raglan increases. It has a lace stitch pattern panel at the center. We start knitting flat, in order to gain some space for the head and sew a button on the back, but after a few rows the work is joined in the round.

  • Experience level: Advanced Beginner
  • Yarn: DK weight yarn
  • Tension: 25 stitches x 34 rows = 10cm / 4” in stocking stitch with 3,5mm (US 4) needles
  • Yardage: approx. 105m
  • Needles: 3,5mm (US4) and 3mm(US2,5) circular and double pointed needles, a crochet hook for the buttonhole.
  • Knitting techniques: Knit, Purl, Knitting in the round, simple increases and decreases, picking up stitches, I-cord.
  • Languages: English and Portuguese

SPRING BLOSSOMS HAT FOR THE OAK FOLK:
This hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up. Starting with a lace stitch pattern edge and going towards the top of the head. Optional I-cords can be knitted and sewed on the sides.

  • Experience level: Advanced Beginner
  • Yarn: DK weight yarn
  • Tension: 25 stitches x 34 rows = 10cm / 4” in stocking stitch with 3,5mm (US 4) needles.
  • Yardage: approx. 45m
  • Needles: 3,5mm (US4) and 3mm (US2.5) double pointed needles
  • Knitting techniques: Knit, Purl, Knitting in the round, simple increases and decreases.
  • Languages: English and Portuguese

SPRING BLOSSOMS SHORTS FOR THE OAK FOLK:
These tiny shorts are knitted in the round from the waist rib down. They can be sewed at the bottom or you can use the kitchener technique to join the bottom parts.

  • Experience level: Advanced Beginner
  • Yarn: DK weight yarn
  • Tension: 25 stitches x 34 rows = 10cm / 4” in stotcking stitch with 3,5mm (US 4) needles.
  • Yardage: approx. 30m
  • Needles: 3,5mm (US4) and 3mm (US2.5) double pointed needles
  • Knitting techniques: Knit, Purl, simple increases and decreases, kitchener stitch (optional)
  • Languages: English and Portuguese

SPRING BLOSSOMS SHOES FOR THE OAK FOLK:
This tiny shoes are knitted in the round from the bottom up and have a cute lace stitch pattern at the front. The sole is sewed at the end.

  • Experience level: Advanced Beginner
  • Yarn: DK weight yarn
  • Tension: 25 stitches x 34 rows = 10cm / 4” in stotcking stitch with 3,5mm (US 4) needles.
  • Yardage: approx. 30m
