Cloud Gate II is based on Cloud Gate: we wanted a slightly closer knit version, with less volume, but still with a light and airy feel. The result is a smaller size.

Use a bulky brushed mohair, and be sure to catch the “core” of the yarn with your needle tip, to avoid dropped stitches.

In the store, many knitters are excited to see this pattern, because they’ve stashed mohair and don’t know what to do with it. Here’s the answer! And because it’s knit loosely, yardage requirements are low.

The grey mohair for the model was dyed with Dharma Acid Dye, color 446 silver grey, in a vegetable steamer!
