Cloud Gazing
Cloud Gazing is as relaxing as a deep breath. This lightweight crescent-shaped shawl gives you instant calm, and the best part—you only need one skein of fingering-weight yarn to make it.
The chevron lace is repetitive enough to memorise quickly but engaging enough to keep things interesting. The lace is worked on the right side only, and there’s no purling.
Cloud Gazing is as customisable as it is relaxing, simply work as many pattern repeats as you want. Go wild with the size, keep it petite, or knit until you’ve used up every last bit of your yarn.
If you’ve been looking for the perfect project to unwind with, you just found it. Cake your favourite yarn and cast on!
YARN
One skein of Eden Cottage Yarns Keld Twist (83% merino, 17% linen; 375 m / 410 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour Tarn.
Or approximately 375 m / 410 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to achieve pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
Gauge affects the finished size and the amount of yarn needed.
